Marie-Skłodowka-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF) in
Horizon Europe are a fantastic opportunity to recruit and support
talented postdoctoral researchers from all over the world. The idea is
to advance the postdocs’ professional profile by combining an
excellent project that addresses a challenging and timely research
question with targeted training. Developed in close collaboration
between postdoc and supervisor, a two-way transfer of knowledge takes
place during the fellowship: your postdoc gains new skills through
advanced training and international mobility, while sharing
complementary knowledge and skills they have acquired previously.
European Postdoctoral Fellowships support mobility both within Europe
and from outside of Europe into the EU, while Global Postdoctoral
Fellowships support mobility from the EU to a non-European country
(including an obligatory return phase in Europe).

Next deadline (to be confirmed): September 10, 2025
Who can apply?_ _Postdoctoral researchers already in possession of a
doctoral degree at call deadline and with a maximum of eight years of
full-time equivalent research experience measured from the date of
obtaining a doctoral degree.
Fellowship types
_European Postdoctoral Fellowship (normally 12-24 months)_
§ Excellent Researchers from abroad, who comply with the MSCA mobility
rule, i.e. have not been residing / working in Germany for more than 12
months in the last 3 years before the call deadline.
§ Excellent Researchers already working at LMU, who still comply with
the above MSCA mobility rule.
_Global Postdoctoral Fellowship (24-36 months)_
§ Excellent Researchers currently working at LMU who are European
nationals or long-term residents, and aim at implementing their research
and training project at a different institution outside Europe. To be
eligible, they must comply with the MSCA mobility rule, i.e. not having
resided/worked in the non-European host country for more than 12 months
in the last 3 years before the call deadline.
